AirHelp is the largest flight compensation company in the world. But what does it mean? If you have ever had a problem with a flight, whether due to delay or cancellation, you can ask for compensation. However, most of the time travelers are left helpless and without help. This is where AirHelp comes into play. The platform operates worldwide helping passengers receive compensation for flight complications.

The company assists travelers who have had problems with:

  • flight delay or cancellation;
  • problems with luggage;
  • undue expenses;
  • negotiation with companies.

The last case is one of the most interesting. This is because it is very common for problems that are not covered by law to occur. Even so, AirHelp negotiates some form of compensation with the company. Be it a voucher or refund.

How much does AirHelp charge?

This depends on each case. If the eligibility, information or legal services are unsuccessful, nothing is charged.

However, in successful cases the company applies some rates based on the value of the flight compensation. See the details:

  • Service charge of 35% of flight compensation including applicable VAT (Value Added Tax)
  • Legal action fee of 15% of flight compensation including applicable VAT (Value Added Tax)

Therefore, if your request requires legal action, the fee for the compensation amount will be 50%.

There are other options, such as hiring AirHelp through a travel agency. In this situation, the values may vary according to the contract signed between the two parties.

Benefits

A big advantage of AirHelp is that you don't have to pay anything if your request is denied. For those who are left destitute, but are not sure if they will be compensated, it can be a good option.

Running after a company and sometimes even having to deal with legal issues is a very tiring situation. Furthermore, with good legal advice the chances of you receiving compensation become greater. Despite the price of the fees, the value ends up being worth it when placed on the scale.

Furthermore, making the request is super simple and 100% online. Everything can be done via the company's website.

When can I activate AirHelp?

ANAC Resolution No. 400 regulates the rights of air passengers in Brazil. According to this legislation, there are some situations in which you can call AirHelp. Look:

Flight delay

Flight delay compensation is very common. Especially with the number of daily flights at global airports. This failure is understood by the law as an error on the part of the company itself.

Flight cancellation

With the pandemic, flight cancellations became even more frequent. Compensation in this case can reach up to R$5,000.

Missed connecting flight

This error is very common, due to the first one we already mentioned: flight delays. Therefore, it is important to understand your rights and seek compensation.

Overbooking

Overbooking is when you arrive to board, and your boarding is refused. The reason? Crowded plane. AirHelp can also help you understand your rights in this case.

Lost luggage

Arriving at the conveyor belts to wait for your suitcase, and it never arrives. Has it ever happened to you? If so, the legislation does not leave you helpless. Know your rights!
