Find out if the PicPay platform is really reliable
Knowing whether PicPay is safe is an important part of the account opening process, as it is essential to research the financial platform where we want to carry out transactions, deposits and financial movements in general.
Even though it is a fintech with thousands of users across the country, it is normal to have questions and want to know all the details about the app, such as reputation, review scores and everything else.
Therefore, we will talk about all of this in this content and also explain a little about what PicPay is and what risks the customer may end up running when opening an account on the platform.
Anyway, stay with us because Mr. Panda will bring you today an evaluation revealing whether PicPay is safe or not. Check it out!
What is the risk of PicPay?
PicPay was founded in 2012 and originated in the state of Espírito Santo. Therefore, at first, the platform was a fintech developed to be a simple financial wallet to make users' lives easier. However, the application soon gained a lot of fame and became known throughout Brazil. Currently, PicPay has thousands of users all over Brazil.
With all this progress, it is normal for the app's functions to grow and improve every day. In addition, it is normal for the company to seek to make it even more complete than a simple digital wallet for transactions and payments.
However, despite all its popularity, many users are still skeptical. After all, PicPay itself is not a large bank or a well-known financial institution around the world. However, it is an app that works with several services involving money.
Therefore, financial risks are always discussed among users or people interested in downloading the app. However, the platform guarantees that there are no risks. Therefore, just like the Securities Guarantee Fund (FGT), the PicPay account is guaranteed by federal securities. In other words, you can safely put your money in the account, leave it invested, as it will not leave there.
PicPay's reputation on Reclame Aqui
One way to evaluate an app's reputation is on Reclame Aqui. In fact, Reclame Aqui helps users from different segments a lot. Therefore, it is possible to find reviews of all types and different products and/or services.
So, analyzing the Reclame Aqui website, we can conclude that PicPay responds to around 99.9% of the questions, queries and complaints that users make within the app.
However, only 551,800 people have returned to using the app in the last 12 months of its existence. This number is not good, as it indicates that only about half of the users returned to using the app after the complaints.
Furthermore, it is important to mention the percentage of complaints that were actually resolved by the platform. On the Reclame Aqui website, only 67.91% of cases were resolved.
In other words, although the app responds to all complaints, not all of them have a happy ending as the customer really wants. Therefore, it is worth asking the following question: is PicPay really safe? We will analyze it in the next topic.
So, is PicPay safe?
We must understand that PicPay works with all information security standards to protect the user from any problem regarding leaked information and that kind of thing.
Furthermore, all national and international transactions follow security standards that give the app the seal of security and reliability for the service it offers. However, it is common for apps in this segment to have some problems and not be able to solve them all. In this sense, PicPay suffers from the following problems (based on Reclame Aqui):
- Refund of amounts paid;
- Problems completing purchases;
- Misleading advertising;
- Difficulty in receiving service at the SAC;
- Undue charge.
Therefore, there may be cases where users encounter these problems and turn to customer service centers to resolve them. However, as we can see in the previous topic, not all customers end up finding a solution within this customer service center.
However, this does not mean that PicPay is not safe. Quite the opposite, after all, it is a platform that has a federal guarantee. In addition, it is one of the fastest growing financial platforms.
