But if the user does not carry out this procedure within 48 hours, the customer must access the BC website again and generate a new security phrase.

Data leak: how to avoid fraud with your CPF
There's nothing more unpleasant than being charged for a debt you didn't pay. At first, you might think it was a mistake, or even pay that debt to avoid getting into trouble with your name.
However, when the charges continue to persist and you still don't understand where the values came from, it means that things are getting more and more complicated and there's nowhere to run but to seek help from professionals and authorities.
This is basically the nightmare that a person lives who had their CPF in the possession of fraudsters and consequently subjected to data leakage. Therefore, be very careful to whom and where you make your personal data available.
Do not believe any information shared without confirmed sources and announced on the official website of the company. Because it's from fake news like a job vacancy, that a malicious website uses your hope of getting a job to collect data like your CPF, RG, date of birth, among other information.
But thinking about avoiding fraud in your CPF, we separate the 7 important precautions you need to take to avoid this inconvenience in your life. Keep with us and follow the tips.
1. Keep your documents close at hand
Many opportunists lie in wait waiting for someone to be careless to steal their documents. Therefore, whenever you are at a cashier in a store, lottery, bank or any ATM, do not allow your documents to be taken away from you under any circumstances.
Only in some situations, the attendants may ask to check your documents, but even so, do not let them be taken away from you, to avoid data leakage.
Yeah, in that carelessness some malicious can steal your data or even clone your credit card. That's why you can't be too careful, always be wary of suspicious attitudes and be sure to exercise your rights.
2. Be wary of online tests
If you still don't know, know that these tests are mostly malicious. They are usually very popular and easily go viral on the internet because they have sensationalist themes.
The main issue is that these tests, in fact, are often baits to easily access your data. For this, they prepare a report that calls your attention, often being funny, exaggerated, curious tests, but which always ask for your confidential information.
The truth is that they are only interested in your personal information. So always doubt what comes easy on the internet. Keep an eye out and don't give in to the temptations of taking every test you find funny.
3. Beware of Buying Sites
Before making any online purchase, check the reliability of the site you are browsing. Also, research the store's reputation, reviews from other customers, seller service, and so on.
Another important piece of information is that you access the store's website by typing the link in your browser and not just clicking on a link they have made available to you. This is due to the fact that links with redirects can direct you to corrupted sites that can steal your data. But if you enter the official link of the store you want to access yourself, the chances of being deceived by malicious sites are much smaller.
4. Be careful when discarding cards, documents and bills
You never know where your information will end up if you don't dispose of it properly. Some people use paper shredders to dispose of documents that cannot be easily read by others, which also serve to shred cards and harder materials.
But, remembering that you can dispose of your confidential items with the help of your own hands and scissors to avoid data leakage. Then tear everything possible into many pieces: cards, old bills, documents, this practice prevents your documents from falling into the wrong hands.
5. Monitor your CPF
Serasa Consumer offers a service that informs you through an alert every time there is a fraud attempt with your CPF. This service has a low cost and you have the peace of mind of ensuring more security for your document.
However, if you want to make a quick and free consultation, you can access the status of your CPF at Serasa, there you can find out if there are pending issues in your name and everything about the regularity of your payments.

7. The prize hit
Throw the first stone who has never received an SMS alerting you about a large cash prize, but that to receive it you would need to contact or reply to the message with your account number and password to “deposit” the money. It seems unbelievable, but many people fall for this scam.
This trap is very old and commonly used to steal data, if you give away your information, you can be sure that the fraud is done. Therefore, be very careful before making your data available to anyone.
