Many Brazilians have a savings account without necessarily using it for income. In this way, they only use the debit function, with the card made available. The PoupCard Bradesco card, on the other hand, gives a new function to the savings account. This card also has a credit function. Thus, you can enjoy the benefits of savings and also have a credit card.

In this article, we will show you all the advantages of the PoupCard Bradesco and also explain how it works. Continue reading and check it out!

What is the Bradesco PoupCard and how does it work?

Typically, savings accounts only have one debit card. However, anyone who is a Bradesco customer has the option of purchasing a credit card: the PoupCard Bradesco.

With the Visa flag, the card is accepted in several establishments throughout Brazil.

In addition, after making purchases using the credit function, the customer has up to 30 days to pay. Even so, after the savings anniversary, the amount is automatically debited from the account. The debit takes place after the birthday so that the user does not lose that month's income. Another cool thing is that purchases can be made in Brazil and abroad. Yes, the Bradesco PoupCard is international!

When we talk about fees, it is important to say that to use the credit function, the bank charges an annuity. The annual fee is charged in 12 installments of R$18.00. If the customer chooses to use only the debit function, he is exempt from fees.

The card limit depends on the account balance and is subject to analysis. However, the good news is that to apply for the card, it is not necessary to prove a minimum income.

What are the advantages?

In addition to the advantages of the card, there are also the advantages of having savings at Bradesco. For example, account holders at the financial institution can schedule the monthly deposit into the account. This way, you can guarantee that you will save money every month.

Another benefit is that payments and withdrawals are only made after the savings anniversary. That's why you never lose your savings income. In addition, overseas withdrawals are also available. The PoupCard Bradesco card can still be managed by the Bradesco application, available for IOS and Android.

With the advantages, there are also disadvantages. Although the PoupCard Bradesco card is a legal option, it is not the best. That's because currently there are other ways to let your money yield and have a credit card. Bradesco's card does not allow installments and has few benefits related to travel and points programs.

However, in digital banks it is possible to acquire credit cards with all these benefits and also with your money yielding. In digital banks, the yield rate is still usually higher than in traditional savings.

How does savings work?

For the money to yield in savings, he needs to have a birthday. That is, if you deposit money on August 31st, it will only pay off on September 31st. If you for some reason need to withdraw this money before the 30 days, the interest will not pay.

If you already have an account, it's very easy to open a savings account. In the case of Bradesco, the bank also offers exclusive benefits for those who have a savings account and a current account. To open yours, just go to any agency with your documents. A positive point is that you do not need to be positive to open a savings account. That is, with PoupCard Bradesco you can have a credit card even with a low score.

It is on account of the FGC, the Credit Guarantee Fund, that savings become a security investment. The FGC gives full support when any unforeseen event happens with your money. They deposit up to R$250k back for whoever loses their money.

What is the yield on savings today?

Savings income is not one of those risky ones, as many people think. This happens because the income value is fixed, that is, it does not change. Nowadays, savings yield 70% of the Selic Rate plus the Referential Rate. Although the Selic Rate may always vary, this is not necessarily a benefit.

For example, Selic is high now. However, savings only yield up to 6%. Therefore, even if the Selic reaches 7.5% or 8% it will not make a difference. When we talk about the Referential Rate, it doesn't change much either, as it is at zero.

Due to the high Selic, many banks announce that they yield more than savings. This can be a safe alternative with higher yields.
