Although North Korea is an extremely conservative country, it is free of taboos regarding marijuana.

North Koreans can safely smoke cannabis on the streets and plant the herb in their gardens. To give you an idea, marijuana grows so much in North Korea that it is even sold abroad by government agencies to make money. Furthermore, the country is also growing the herb to produce biofuel.
