Cars

Never have problems with your car battery again.

The car battery is the component responsible for accumulating energy, and providing this accumulated energy for all electrical and electronic components present in the vehicle such as headlights, multimedia centers, alarms, etc. For this reason, we have selected some battery tips that may be useful:

The battery is recharged by the engine.

The vehicle's engine is responsible for recharging the battery through the alternator. Therefore, whenever the battery is being used with the engine off, it is being discharged. Kind of obvious isn't it? So take care not to leave the headlights or sound on for a long time with the car off.

The battery must not be idle for a long time.

Stopped cars also drain the battery. Therefore, if the car is going to be stopped for long periods (more than 30 days), and it is not possible for someone to start the vehicle during this time, it is recommended to disconnect the terminals of the battery cables, thus preventing the battery from discharging. .

Do not start with electrical/electronic accessories turned on.

Turning on the headlight or radio before starting the vehicle shortens your battery life (which is usually 2 to 3 years). This is because starting the car takes a lot out of the car's battery, and keeping other accessories running at the same time will strain the battery.

Clean your battery terminals

Whenever possible, check that the terminals on your battery are not dirty or corroded. To clean, do not forget to turn off the vehicle (always be safe, please!), and only use a sponge with water.

When starting the vehicle, leave it on for at least 15 minutes

According to some manufacturers, this is the time required for the engine to recharge the battery used for starting. So, if the drums dropped and you did the famous pacifier, it's no use just taking a walk around the court.

review regularly

It's important to do electrical reviews regularly, checking your battery conditions, in addition to components that may be sucking battery unnecessarily.

Have a jump starter in the vehicle

Even taking all care of your battery, problems may occur and your battery will run down. Having the cables to start your vehicle makes your life a lot easier (own experience). If you don't have the cables to make the pacifier, depending on the situation, you will need to call the insurance company. Some workshops also offer this type of assistance in case of need.
