Meet 16 famous Brazilians who are LGTBQI+
Although there is still a lot of prejudice, coming out as not straight is getting easier. No wonder there are currently several famous Brazilians who are LGTBQI+ and who speak publicly about it, no longer afraid to show their true selves.
In our not so distant past, public figures felt repressed to expose their sexual orientation other than heterosexual. This is because they lost contracts and jobs, even if they were highly qualified professionals.
All this for one reason: prejudice. At the mercy of public opinion, the famous lived – and still do – in the shadow of the news about themselves. If positive, there was no lack of work. If not, it's a different story...
And this was precisely what happened when the artist revealed that he was not straight. Luiz Fernando Guimarães, for example, came out as gay only in 2015, after years and years of silence on the subject.
The good news is that the world is evolving, isn't it? With this, people are being less prejudiced and more tolerant of the sexual orientation of others. In fact, it should be made clear that what the other likes or dislikes is not up to anyone, except the person himself, correct?
Anyway, since that's the conversation, how about we find out who are the famous Brazilians who are LGTBQI+? Of course, there are several artists below that you never thought would be here – but they are! So, shall we know more?
