How will the Auxílio Brasil payroll loan work?
In short, the Auxílio Brasil payroll loan will work in a similar way to any other payroll loan. Here, the beneficiary must go to the financial institution that offers this credit and follow the application steps.
In this way, the beneficiary of the Auxílio Brasil will be able to borrow a certain amount in this credit model. Here, the only measure determined by law is that the loan installment does not exceed 40% of the benefit amount.
Therefore, as the value of the benefit will be R$ 400.00 in January 2023, it means that it will be possible to have installments of up to R$ 160.00.
But, the payment of the installments will occur automatically, since the loan is consigned. Thus, the Ministry of Citizenship itself will deduct the values of the installment from the benefit.
Regarding the interest rate, at first the created law has not determined a limit for this rate. But, as it is a payroll loan, it may be lower than the personal loan rate. In the case of the loan offered by Meu Tudo, the rate starts at 3,39% per month.
Who the loan is for
As a matter of fact, the type of payroll loan was previously attributed only to INSS pensioners and retirees, public servants and private sector salaried employees.
However, with the new law, all people who receive the benefit of Auxílio Brasil will be able to take out loans in the form of payroll.
Thus, beneficiaries will be able to access lower interest rates and even have more time to pay off the loan.
