Main characteristics of Caixa Universitário

The Caixa Universitário card is the main financial solution for new students who are currently enrolled in higher education courses.

That is, everyone who is part of undergraduate, graduate, masters and doctoral courses, from public or private institutions.

Firstly, this card charges an annual fee of R$17.25 and new customers have access to a discount and are paying only 25% of that amount.

However, this rule has changed since 2020. This is because Caixa exempted the annuity charge for a period of five years from the card release date. Therefore, this means that, in theory, you do not pay tuition for the entire period that you are studying higher education.

In addition, the card is available in the biggest and best flags in the market: Visa and Mastercard. As well, both offer their international version of payments. In this way, the card is available practically all over the world, for the student to use it even in exchange programs.

Card control is available through the Caixa app for iOS and Android. Thus, the app leaves account holders at ease to use practically all the bank's services available through the digital medium.

That is, when you open the account and register your new username and password in the App, you can count on the following functions:

  • Information about the card statement, balance and invoice;
  • Transactions such as: payments, transfers, investments and telephone recharge;
  • Administration and control of all accounts and cards;
  • Voucher management;
  • Betting on Caixa Lottery games;
  • Payments with barcode reading;
  • Consultation of social benefits and much more.

Who the card is for

By the time you get here, you've clearly realized that the target audience for the cash card is university students. Therefore, it is for this group that the Caixa Universitário card is indicated.

Therefore, all higher education students enrolled in public or private institutions can opt for this card.
