14. Nova Araçá – IDHM: 0.785
Nova Araçá is a Brazilian municipality located in the northern part of the state of Rio Grande do Sul. Thanks to its 4,759 inhabitants and an HDI of 0.785, it is considered one of the 15 best cities in Brazil with less than 10,000 inhabitants.
A curiosity about this city is that Nova Araçá received the status of a municipality by state law nº 4884 of December 22, 1964, with territory dismembered from the municipality of Nova Prata. In relation to its economy, the main source of income comes from the company “A Irmãos Frasson & Cia Ltda”, which, founded in 1950 and still active today, is one of the first furniture industries in this city.
