The cars of the candidates for mayor of São Paulo
Of the 14 candidates who will run for mayor of São Paulo, seven declared that they had a vehicle in their name. Check out the models of each of them now.
Andrea Matarazzo – PSD: Honda CBR 1100 XX
Andrea Matarazzo does not have any car registered in his name, but a motorcycle. And it's not just any motorcycle. It's a 1997 Honda CBR 1100 XX.
Nicknamed the Super Black Bird, it was once considered the fastest motorcycle in the world, reaching 287 km/h in a test in 1997, but was surpassed in 1999 by its competitor Suzuki Hayabusa, which reached an incredible 312 km/h in 1999.
Bruno Covas – PSDB: Audi Q3
The current mayor of the capital of the state of São Paulo declared that he had an Audi Q3 in his name.
The German SUV can have between 170 and 220 horsepower depending on the version and the traction that feeds the wheels, which can be integral. Engine is a 2.0 turbo with four cylinders. The model today is worth R$ 83,500.
Celso Russomanno – REPUBLICANS: 7 different vehicles
Here we have many cars of the candidates for mayor of São Paulo. In fact, only Candidate Celso Russomano who currently appears at the head of the searchs is also the candidate who has the most vehicles in his name.
Russomano claimed to own a 1998 Chevrolet Blazer; A Volkswagen Passat V6 2004; a 2007 Hummer; A 1979 Phor tander and a 1996 Jeep Engesa. In addition to the cars, the candidate also has two motorcycles: A Honda NX Falcon 400 and a Ducati.
When we add all the vehicles, the candidate has an amount that exceeds the figures of R$ 280 thousand.
Guilherme Boulos – PSOL Chevrolet Celta
The candidate on the left best positioned in the capital of São Paulo has only one well-declared asset: A Celta chevrolet with no specified year. The model was produced in Brazil during the years 2000 to 2015.
Jilmar Tattoo – PT: Honda Civic
Like Guilherme Boulos, the PT candidate for mayor of São Paulo did not specify the year of his Honda Civic. However, in the declared value, we can assume that the vehicle is a 2017 model.
Marina Helou – NETWORK: Honda HR-V EX
And to finalize the cars of the candidates for mayor of São Paulo, we have Marina Helou da Rede who declared that she owns a Honda HR-V EX year 2018. The model is valued at R$ 78 thousand.
Cars of candidates for mayor of Rio de Janeiro
As in São Paulo, of the 14 applicants for mayoralty in Rio, only eight have a vehicle in their name. Check now which are the vehicles of the candidates from Rio de Janeiro.
Bandeira de Mello – NETWORK: 2 different vehicles
Here are some more examples of mayoral candidate cars. In this case in Rio de Janeiro.
Bandeira de Mello also told the TSE that he had two vehicles. One is a 2019 Chevrolet Spin and the other is a 2009 Fiat Palio Adventure Locker. Together both cars are worth around R$ 120k.
Benedita da Silva – PT: 2 different vehicles
Candidate Benedita da Silva from the Workers' Party has two different vehicles in her declaration of assets.
The first is a Fiat 500 Sport and the other is a 2014/205 Renault Logan. At valuation both vehicles together are worth around R$ 100 thousand.
Cyro Garcia – PSTU: Chevrolet Celta 2010
Like Guilherme Boulos in São Paulo, Cyro Garcia in RIO de Janeiro has only one vehicle in his name: A 2010 Celta chevrolet, which in the Fipe table is valued at around R$ 15 thousand.
Delegate Martha Rocha – PDT: Toyota Corolla 2016/2017
With assets exceeding R$ 1 million, mayoral candidate Martha Rocha declared only one vehicle: One Toyota Corolla 2016/2017 worth R$ 110 thousand.
For the high value, the model can be the top of the line Altis version with Multi-Drive transmission and 2.0 engine of 154 horsepower.
Eduardo Paes – DEM: Volkswagen Tiguan 2019
Mayor of the wonderful city for two terms in the last decade Eduardo Paes declared to be the owner of a 2019 Volkswagen Tiguan.
For R$ 76,571, the model can be an Allspace version equipped with a 150-hp 1.4 TSI engine with dual-clutch automatic transmission.
Fred Luz – NEW: 2 different vehicles
Like other candidates from Rio de Janeiro, Fred Luz declared that he had two vehicles in his name. A Jeep Compass Sport and a 2015 Hyundai i30. Together both cars are worth an average of R$ 170 thousand.
Glória Heloiza – PSC: 2 different vehicles
Two out of all three of the PSC candidate's declared assets are cars.
Glória Heloiza owns a Citroen C3 Tendence and an unspecified Audi A8. But for the price it must be an A3 Sedan equipped with a Tiptronic gearbox. Altogether the two cars are worth just over R$ 100k.
Renata Souza – PSOL: – Renault Sandero Stepway 2015
And our last candidate on the list is Renata Souza from Psol who declared to be the owner of a Renault Sandero Stepway 2015. The vehicle has a 1.4 flex engine and reaches 106 horsepower when fueled with ethanol.
Conclusion
And as we mentioned initially, some candidates, due to their activities in the business sector, have more money than others, thus reflecting on the vehicles they drive.
The most emblematic cases are the Candidate of São Paulo Celso Russomano who declared to have 7 vehicles and the candidates Guilherme Boulos and Cyro Garcia who have a simple Celta.
In addition, it is important to remember that some candidates do not even own cars and resort to public transport, taxis or even vehicles through applications to move around in the capitals.
