04. Rise of teleconsultation
Did you know that, before the start of the health crisis caused by the coronavirus, virtual consultations by healthcare professionals were prohibited? So it is! However, with the pandemic, this changed and today so-called telemedicine is authorized.
The need for social distancing, as a consequence of the pandemic, led the Federal Council of Medicine to recognize and regulate the use of telemedicine in Brazil.
Therefore, since March 2020, doctors, psychologists, nutritionists and now also physiotherapists can care for their patients remotely.
Although this authorization will only be in force until the end of the public health crisis, we may be surprised by the permanence of this trend in our daily lives.
After all, the advantages of this type of service are countless. Among them, they keep patients away from waiting rooms and people in critical condition.
