24. Ohio State University – $5.2 billion
Another North American on our list of universities with the largest endowments in the world for having 5.2 billion dollars, Ohio State University is located in the state of Ohio, with its main campus in the city of Columbus. However, the university has other regional campuses, which are located in Lima, Mansfield, Marion and Newark.
Founded in 1870, Ohio State University is enormous by American standards. It is considered the third largest university in the United States today in terms of the number of students enrolled, with around 58 thousand students in all units.
