11. University of Michigan – $10.9 billion

Founded in 1817, the University of Michigan, located in the city of Ann Arbor, in the United States, stood out for its research and good performance in several areas, being known internationally for its students, such as swimmer Michael Phelps, former president Gerald Ford and the first CEO of Google, Larry Page. Furthermore, from very early on, the institution also adopted a progressive stance and was open to change. To give you an idea, from there came Marjorie Lee Browne, the first black woman to complete a doctorate in mathematics in the country at a time when many institutions still prohibited the presence of black students.
