12. Cratera de Lochnagar

Se estamos falando de turismo de guerra, então não poderíamos deixar de falar, pelo menos, a respeito de um lugar onde se passou a Primeira Guerra Mundial. E o lugar escolhido foi a Cratera de Lochnagar, localizada na cidade de Somme, na França.

Turismo de Guerra: Cratera de Lochnagar

Na Cratera de Lochnagar, percebe-se o gigantesco poder de destruição causado por uma das minas terrestres empregadas durante a Grande Guerra. A explosão de uma mina com 25 toneladas de amonal, a qual resultou neste buraco com mais de 80 metros de profundidade, ocorreu no dia 1 de julho de 1916, quando os soldados britânicos investiram contra os alemães. As perdas fatais britânicas, somente neste dia, foram superiores a 57 mil. Hoje, o lugar é um dos pontos turísticos preferidos de quem é adepto ao turismo de guerra.
