Discover now how to calculate the value of your PIS
The PIS, or Social Integration Program, had been suspended since 2020. Incidentally, due to the pandemic, the salary allowance benefit was left aside. Therefore, instead, the money was used for Emergency Aid. However, with the gradual return of activities, the PIS wage bonus is back. Therefore, many people are wondering how to calculate the PIS or what amount they will receive. In today's article, we'll explain how this calculation works. Continue reading and find out!
How to know the value of my PIS/PASEP?
First, let's remind you what PIS and PASEP are. In this sense, the PIS, or Social Integration Program, was a benefit created to function as a kind of FGTS. Therefore, only those who worked registered between 1971 and 1988 are entitled to receive the quotas. That's because whoever was hired after that date already fits the FGTS.
In this sense, the government releases the money annually for redemption. But now it is in the form of a salary allowance. That is, the rules for redeeming the PIS withdrawal are now a little different. But in the case of understanding how to calculate the PIS, the rule is similar. In short, the value corresponds to the salary of the base year. In addition, the benefit also changes according to the number of months worked by the employee. Therefore, the calculation is as follows:
MONTHS WORKED | AMOUNT RECEIVED |
1 | R$101 |
2 | R$202 |
3 | R$303 |
4 | R$404 |
5 | R$505 |
6 | R$606 |
7 | R$707 |
8 | R$808 |
9 | R$909 |
10 | R$1010 |
11 | R$1111 |
12 | R$1212 |
In this sense, to calculate the PIS, just count how many months you worked. Furthermore, not just any worker can receive the benefit. That's because the government sets some prerequisites. Look:
- Be registered with the PIS;
- Have a signed portfolio for at least 5 years;
- Not having received remuneration greater than 2 minimum wages in the last year;
- Have worked at least 30 days with a formal contract in the last year;
- Have the data updated in the Annual List of Social Information (Rais or E-social).
Therefore, if all requirements are met, just consult the benefit and see the amount available for withdrawal.
How to receive PIS?
In addition to knowing how to calculate PIS, it is also important to know how to receive it. In principle, PIS is paid to workers by Caixa Econômica Federal. Therefore, the financial institution provides some ways to receive the PIS wage bonus. Check out!
- Direct to the Caixa account for account holders;
- Withdrawal at the Cashier Where the savings account is opened automatically;
- ATM withdrawals;
- Receive at Lottery Houses;
- Appear in person at Caixa Econômica Federal branches;
- Cash out at Caixa Aqui with the social card and password in hand.
However, it is worth remembering that PASEP is paid by Banco do Brasil. That is, account holders of the institution receive the money directly into the account. But for those who do not have a BB account, just perform a TED for the preferred account. In addition, like Caixa Econômica, Banco do Brasil also provides a way to withdraw the benefit.
So, now that you know how to receive the benefit, see the payment schedule below.
PIS 2022 payment schedule
The Government has already released the PIS 2022 payment schedule. In fact, the benefit is paid to workers who have had a PIS record for at least five years. Stay tuned for the dates and don't miss receiving your benefit.
