Samsung Pay Mini, launched in 2018, is a simplified and more accessible version of Samsung's payments platform.

It was made to work on the Galaxy A, Galaxy On, Galaxy J and other cell phone lines. At the time of launch, the app only allowed online and QR Code payments, but now other benefits are available.

It is simple to use and is one of the fastest ways to send money to Samsung customers. In the app, you know instantly whether your contact accepted the transfer and, therefore, make sure that the amount sent was received correctly.

Currently, Samsung Pay Mini is also compatible with NFC technology on the brand's newest Galaxy M and A line devices. With the app, you can pay bills, buy gift certificates, generate invoices and much more. The app works online and in establishments that accept QR Codes.

In fact, the Samsung Pay Mini is not a card machine, but an app that turns your phone into a device capable of sending and receiving money using NFC and MST technologies, which we will explain more about in the next topics.

Therefore, anyone who is a Samsung customer and has a smartphone compatible with the application will be able to enjoy all its benefits.

Samsung Pay Mini is used to make payments without the need for a physical card. The application works using NFC (Near Field Communication) or MST (Secure Magnetic Transmission) technology.

The technologies mentioned allow you to send your card data to the company responsible for processing payments without the need for physical contact.

For now, not all Samsung devices can use the digital wallet and not all banks are partners with the application.

However, there are already several well-known banks that are available on Samsung Pay Mini, just check if you are on the company's list of partners. One of the banks that has the partnership is Inter, where you can use credit and debit cards on Samsung Pay.

After registering your cards with Samsung Pay to use them, the user can make payments in commercial establishments and on some websites using just their cell phone.

All of this without having to take your wallet out of your pocket to get the physical card, enter your password or receive a receipt, whether physical or online.

How is payment made using Samsung Pay Mini?

Payment is made by touching the phone to the magnetic card machines and, for this, there are two technologies that allow communication between the terminal, NFC and MST technology.

NFC technology, for Near Field Communication, allows devices close to each other to exchange information.

It's similar to how turnstiles work or bus tickets. To work, the cell phone and the terminal that will receive the amount must have integrated technology.

MST (Secure Magnetic Transmission) technology is more comprehensive, it does not require the terminal to be previously enabled with the technology either and, as a result, it generates a magnetic field that makes the machine understand that a card has been swiped there. Both technologies are safe.

The operation of both technologies requires user authentication, either through their fingerprint or iris recognition.

Communication between devices is short and, therefore, it is practically impossible for anyone to intercept information remotely. Furthermore, for each different transaction, Samsung Pay generates a different code for the card saved in the application, keeping the original preserved.

So, what did you think of Samsung Pay Mini? It's a great way to pay, isn't it?
