The tricks to never have problems with your car

The engine is one of the most important systems in any vehicle. It is he who transforms the chemical energy present in the reaction of the fuel into mechanical energy for the vehicle to move. In addition, the engine is responsible for recharging the car's battery – through the alternator – and indirectly making all electrical and electronic components work. For this reason, some care for your engine should not be postponed…

oil change

Engine oil has the function of lubricating the internal components so that they move more easily. In addition, oil is responsible for cleaning the engine, removing metal fragments that are generated due to friction between internal components. With so many important functions, oil must always be up to date. The oil change can be done in any workshop, it is quick and relatively cheap (especially if we compare to the damage that the lack of oil change can cause). Each engine uses an oil specification. Therefore, check the oil specification used by your engine and the mileage indicated for the oil change in your car manual, and always keep the oil in good condition.

Filters

The engine system is very sensitive to impurities, such as the small metal fragments mentioned above. Therefore, various filters are used to prevent contamination of the system with dust or foreign debris. Among the main ones are the oil, air and fuel filters. The oil filter must be changed along with the lubricant, according to the instructions in the vehicle manual. Air and fuel filters are usually changed every 10,000 kilometers. All filters also have affordable prices.

Radiator

The radiator is the component responsible for cooling the engine. This cooling has a tremendous influence on engine life. Without the cooling system, the engine can overheat and even melt. Therefore, always check the water level and/or radiator additive. It is important that the reservoir level is always between the minimum and the maximum with a cold engine. Also remember to check that the mechanic changed the radiator fluid as specified.

Fuel

Additivated fuels are great allies of engines. They help to clean the internal part of the engine, injectors and allow a cleaner burning of air and fuel. In addition, additive gasoline yields more than ordinary gasoline due to better burning. It is worth mentioning that the additives do not increase the power or the octane of the engine, they are myths. Even so, the benefits are many, so whenever possible, use fuel with additives.

review regularly

It is important to carry out regular mechanical revisions, checking the condition of your engine, as well as components that may be damaged, such as spark plugs, belts, etc.
