04. Amazon – more than 2 million years old
If you thought that there wouldn't be a place in our Brazil on the list of the oldest places in the world, know that you were completely wrong. And the merit of being here is one of the most incredible places in our country and one of the most important for the planet in general: Amazon.
More than 2 million years old, the Amazon rainforest covers 7 million square kilometers, of which 5 and a half million square kilometers are covered by rainforest. Although most of the Amazon is in Brazil, the truth is that the region belongs to nine nations, including Peru, Colombia and Bolivia. In any case, it is necessary to praise this World Heritage Site of ours, considered one of the seven natural wonders of the world.
