So, in recent months, data leaks of around 223 million CPF numbers have been estimated, leaving several data exposed that can be used in the commission of crimes such as the FGTS scam – Fundo de Garantia do Tempo de Serviço!

In this, the FGTS coup works like this: Criminals use the CPF and the worker's name and register in the Caixa Tem app, reporting a fake email to later steal the money!

This happens because the Caixa Tem application does not request confirmation of the user's identity, making the process simpler and more vulnerable!

And besides, another form of scam is happening through a fake website. This is because workers receive emails inviting them to make a new FGTS withdrawal.

And so, when entering the FGTS website, a form will appear to be filled in with all the personal data, but the page, although it looks a lot like the Federal Government website, is false!

Therefore, Cert.br (Center for Studies, Response and Treatment of Security Incidents in Brazil) reinforces that to avoid possible fraud, it is necessary to register in the FGTS application and check the balance quickly and be more attentive to the links sent by Internet.

To do this, just download the MY FGTS application, available for the Apple Store and Google Play. Then register your email and phone. After that, register a bank account, so that if there is a scam, the money will go to your account and not to the fraudster's account.

Well, the FGTS is automatically deposited in Caixa Tem accounts, and must be accessed through the Caixa Tem application.

So, after the benefit is deposited, the scammers install Caixa Tem, fill in the data with the worker's CPF and a fake email to gain access to the FGTS value that has not yet been released for withdrawal!

Soon, the scammers pay slips generated in the digital wallet to be able to withdraw the amount from the account, and the victim only realizes the scam when trying to register with Caixa Tem and failing, because the system warns that a registration with her CPF it's already been done!
