In April 2021, Magazine Luiza launched a new card, Magalu, which came to replace the Luiza Card (Gold and Preferred) with the benefit of zero annuity and cashback. In addition to being an international Visa Platinum, it can be fully managed through the Magalu app, available for Android or iOS.
Benefits
The main advantage of the Magalu card is certainly the exemption from the annuity. In addition, it has a cashback program in which customers receive 2% back on all purchases made with the card at Magazine Luiza stores, website or in the app. To receive the amounts back, just activate the MagaluPay digital account. Also, when buying online, purchases can be paid in up to 24 interest-free installments.
Another benefit is the discounts of up to 10% for card purchases through the Clube de Escolhas, which has a partnership with several stores. Finally, there are benefits offered by Itaucard, such as 50% discounts on theater plays that are promoted by Itaú bank.
Disadvantages
The main disadvantage is that the cashback program is exclusive to Magazine Luiza purchases. In addition, there is no other miles or points program.
