What is the Zap digital account and how does it work?
In principle, the Zap account is a digital payment account that can be managed completely through the WhatsApp application. In other words, you don't need to download anything else to do your banking transactions.
Therefore, the user can make transfers, pay bills or even top up their cell phone through the Zapelino virtual assistant, created to assist the customer with all the functions offered by the app. However, in order for you to use all the services, you must have your Zap Account number saved in your contacts.
The account opening process is simple and only asks for some personal data such as full name and email.
How to use money from the Zap account?
First of all, you need to make a deposit to start operating your account. So, just send a message to the number (11) 4502-4494 with the word “Deposit” and the virtual assistant Zapelino generates a bill that can be paid at any bank or lottery.
After that, with the money in your account, you can use your money to pay bills, recharge your cell phone, make transfers and much more. In addition, it is possible to request a prepaid debit card bearing the Mastercard brand, which is accepted in thousands of commercial establishments. Simple, isn't it?
Is Zap account safe?
At first glance, it is common to be surprised at the idea of making bank transactions through a messaging app. However, the Zap digital account is completely safe!
Therefore, your information is stored in the cloud, that is, an online server with the highest security technology. This way, your personal and banking data are only stored in a digital environment.
However, the company recommends that customers carry out two-factor verification via WhatsApp to further increase security, or request account confirmation via SMS, which guarantees an additional layer of protection.
In fact, Conta Zap has a virtual assistant that detects possible problems through interaction with the user.
Furthermore, the Zap Account fully assumes the risks of banking transactions. Which means that in cases of fraud the amount is refunded in full, as instructed by the Central Bank.
What are the advantages?
So, now let's talk about some positive aspects of the Zap digital account. So, you can decide if this is the perfect finance app for you.
The bank is completely digital and has a huge list of products and services created especially to bring practical solutions and improve the daily lives of its customers. That is, everything you need in the palm of your hand!
With the Zap Account you can transfer your money via PIX or TED, pay bills, top up your cell phone and even ask for a loan if you need a little extra money.
Furthermore, the customer can request an international Mastercard prepaid debit card, as long as they deposit at least R$20.00 into the account. The card is free of fees and annual fees, which is a great option for those who want to avoid fees.
What are the downsides?
Well, now that you know the advantages of the Zap account, let's comment on some negative points of fintech. This way, you have all the information to assess whether it is worth having a Zap digital account.
Despite not charging maintenance fees, it is not a completely free account. This means that some services are charged according to use. We will show some of them below.
- TED/DOC for other banks = R$9.00;
- International Purchase by Card = R$ 5.00;
- Issuance of Bills = R$2.50;
- Card reissuance cost in case of loss or theft = R$ 20.00;
- National Withdrawal = R$ 14.00;
- International withdrawal = R$ 20.00;
- PIX for legal entities = R$ 2.00.
Therefore, you need to evaluate whether, even with all these fees, the Zap digital account is worth it for you, as many free digital banks do not charge for the same functions.
