So what are the features of the cards?

Dotz Card

First, the Dotz card is a credit card linked to a coalition loyalty program. That is, you accumulate points with every purchase made at one of the hundreds of partner stores, and these points are exchanged for various products or services available in the Dotz catalogue.

So, the card is issued by Banco do Brasil in partnership with Dotz and offers two options: Visa Internacional and Visa Platinum, which is also international, but with different benefits. Even more, you can be part of the Visa and Ourocard loyalty programs, in addition to the Dotz benefits mentioned above.

Thus, the value of the available limit depends on an individual credit analysis and both card types charge an annual fee: R$19.00 per month for International Visa, and R$39.00 for Visa Platinum.

Therefore, requesting your Dotz card is very simple and can be done through the official website of the company or through the Banco do Brasil application. Thus, the card is also available to non-Banco do Brasil account holders, but therefore does not offer Ourocard benefits.

Inter Card

At first glance, the Inter card is a credit card with the international Mastercard brand that is offered to Inter digital bank account holders. In this sense, there are three card types available to customers: Black, Platinum, and Gold, which is the card we are going to talk about.

So, to secure your Inter card, you just need to open an account at the digital bank by informing some registration data, and after a credit analysis it is automatically issued to you.

In addition, the Inter card does not charge an annual fee and offers the benefit of cashback with the payment of invoices. That is, part of the money spent returns to you, and you can use this amount as you wish.

Furthermore, with the Inter card you also become part of the Mastercard Surpreenda loyalty program and have access to exclusive benefits, such as offers and global service coverage.

What are the advantages of the Dotz card?

Well, the Dotz card offers several advantages, especially for Banco do Brasil account holders. So let's talk about some of them below.

First, you earn up to 10,000 Dotz when signing up for the card, in addition to extra points for every purchase made at physical or virtual stores that are Dotz partners.

In addition, as the flag is Visa international, you can shop at thousands of establishments around the world, and you can also participate in the Visa and Ourocard loyalty programs, which offer exclusive discounts on cultural and sporting events.

In addition, the Dotz Platinum card provides exclusive Visa benefits for those who like to travel, such as Visa Concierge, international medical emergency insurance, purchase protection insurance, Visa Airport Companion, among others.

What are the advantages of the Inter card?

At first, the positive point that most stands out in the Inter card is the exemption from the annuity fee. That is, you do not pay a monthly fee to use your card. In addition, you still earn cashback of 0.25% with the payment of each invoice.

So, the card has the international Mastercard flag, which in addition to being accepted in thousands of physical and virtual stores worldwide, offers the Mastercard Surpreenda loyalty program. A benefit that provides exclusive discounts, in addition to the protected purchase insurance.

Furthermore, Inter offers virtual card and contactless payment functions, in addition to debit and credit functions on the same card.

What are the disadvantages of the Dotz card?

So, despite offering many benefits, the Dotz card also has some negative points that can weigh you down when hiring.

First, an annual fee is charged for both card options, and the amounts are different depending on which card best suits your needs. In this way, the International Visa is charged R$228.00 reais per year. As for the Visa Platinum card, this amount goes to R$468.00.

In addition, both cards only work in credit mode, since the debit function does not allow the accumulation of Dotz points. These are disadvantages that make a big difference, since there are currently other credit card options on the market with multiple functions, and that do not charge annuity.

What are the disadvantages of the Inter card?

Well, even with an extensive list of benefits, the Inter card also has its disadvantages, as we will see below.

First, the bank is very careful with increasing the credit limit. That is, if you need a higher limit to make a specific purchase or if you want some extra money at the end of the month, you may not be able to.

In addition, the interest on the revolving credit card if you do not pay the bill in full is 7.7% per month, and the bank charges for some services that are already free at competing institutions, such as duplicate credit cards and cash withdrawals through service channels.
