Yes! Fernando de Noronha, the dream of every Brazilian tourist and perhaps the world, is part of our list of the 15 best cities in Brazil with less than 10,000 inhabitants. With 3,061 inhabitants and an HDI of 0.788, the city earned its deserved place in our text.
There’s nothing to say about the beaches of Fernando de Noronha, right?! After all, there isn't a Brazilian who doesn't know that the island is a paradise on earth. However, what to say about your city?! Well, it is clear that its main economy is directly related to local tourism, but Fernando de Noronha stands out among other municipalities for being one of the oldest places in our country. Founded on August 10, 1503, the island was only 3 years younger than the discovery of Brazil.
